"I Have a Dream" 50th Anniversary
(Arts and Culture)

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech at the March on Washington in 1963 has inspired a generation of Americans. Dr. King's calling for a nation in which American ideals would be matched by reality has led to significant change. The Aurora University mission to be an "inclusive community" dovetails with Dr. King's "dream."

Join us to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this famous speech on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at noon on the Quadrangle. After a brief introduction by University Chaplain Jonathan Dean, we will recreate August 28, 1963 by listening to Dr. King's speech as a community.

Location: Quadrangle (Outside Eckhart Hall)
