- MBA, University of St. Francis
Currently I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Aurora University
teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate business programs. I have
over twenty-three years of experience in accounting and auditing, including
extensive experience as an instructor and researcher. I have also taught
accounting and a variety of business courses at East-West University,
College of DuPage and Robert Morris College.
My career includes fourteen years in public accounting starting as a
staff accountant, progressing eventually to Technical Audit Manager responsible
for quality control, technical research, quality review and teaching continuing
education seminars. The most recent six years of my career have been in
the private sector working as a controller, consulting on special projects
and eventually Chief Financial Officer of two commodity futures firms.
My areas of interests revolve around small to medium sized entrepreneurial
businesses and their ability to thrive and adapt to difficult and changing
economic realities.

- BBA, University of Cincinnati
- MBA, Xaiver University
I am a CPA who has been teaching for approximately 12 years, primarily
at the University of Cincinnati and, for the past four years, at AU.
After Graduating from the University of Cincinnati, I received my MBA
from Xavier University in Cincinnati and spent six years in the audit
division of a national CPA firm. Subsequently, I became Chief Financial
Officer at three manufacturing companies in the Cincinnati area, over
a span of 25 years.
My teaching philosophy is a combination of business applications and
textbook theory. I encourage all of our business students to take my taxes
class (ACC3310), for they will get hands-on experience through our VITA
program in preparing taxes for the Aurora community.
I enjoy all sports and I have been a volunteer basketball coach at the
YMCA for four years, working with second, third, and fourth graders.

- BS in Accounting, Northern Illinois University
- MBA, Benedictine University
Prior to coming to Aurora University in 2004, I had been teaching since 1999 at Robert Morris College and Waubonsee Valley Community College. Prior to that, I was employed in the real estate development, health care and telecommunications industries, under various titles culminating in the CFO position that I now occupy for a local telecommunications consulting firm. I also service several independent clients and provide consulting services as opportunities arise.
My teaching philosophy revolves around my belief that wherever there is a willing student and a focused, student-centered teacher, any student can succeed. I teach various courses concentrated in accounting, business and interdisciplinary studies.
