Biology Minors - Student Outcomes
Expected Student Outcomes for Biology Minors:
Students pursue a minor in biology to support and add new dimensions to
their major areas of concentration. Successful students will be able to apply and integrate the
basic concepts of biology including the fundamentals of cell structure and
function, genetics, evolution and diversity of plant and animal life, and
ecology. They will achieve more
advanced levels of knowledge and skills through courses chosen in accordance
with their academic goals.
Expected Student Outcomes for Physiology Minors:
Students pursue a minor in physiology to support and add new dimensions
to their major areas of concentration. The physiology minor involves the study of structure and
function of biological organisms. Course
selection depends on the student's goals.
Career opportunities exist in academia and clinical and industrial
research.
