Athletic Training Program at Aurora University

Athletic training is an allied health profession dedicated to the prevention, care and rehabilitation of injuries to people who are physically active. Potential employment opportunities include working in high schools, colleges, universities, sports medicine clinics, hospital-based physical therapy clinics, fitness centers, and industrial health care facilities.

This degree is designed to fulfill BOC exam eligibility and Illinois State licensing requirements to practice in the state of Illinois. Our graduates are also prepared for advanced graduate study in various health-related fields. The program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and is approved by the State of Illinois.
