Perry Theatre

Located just south of Eckhart Hall at 1305 Kenilworth Place, Perry Theatre in the Aurora Foundation Center for Community Enrichment includes a state-of-the-art stage with impressive lighting and sound systems. The theatre can accommodate an audience of 200 and provides an intimate setting for community-wide dialogues, forums and symposia designed to address the arts, human services, education and business. The AU Theatre Department also presents one play each semester on the Perry stage.

Built in 1978, Perry Theatre was renovated in 2006 through a generous grant from the Aurora Foundation (now the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley). The building, with its impressive, multi-arched façade and spacious lobby, is named in honor of former Aurora College Dean Stanley H. Perry, who found the energy to direct college plays that took place in Lowry Chapel in addition to his administrative and teaching duties.
