S. Buckley

Distinguished Alumni Award
Presented by Richard Westphal, Professor of English and Chair of
the Division of Fine Arts
Kate is a founding member of Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and the
former Artistic Director of the Next Theatre in Evanston, Illinois.
She is highly regarded in the theatre community, in part for having
directed more than 40 plays. Six productions earned her best director,
best ensemble, best adaptation and best production nominations and
awards.

Frank
Kiehne
GWC B.S. ’47 and M.S. ’51
Distinguished Alumni Award
Frank has had an extensive career with the YMCA. He was the CEO of
the YMCA of Washington, D.C.; the Director of the International Division
of the YMCA of the USA; President and CEO of the Reading/ Berks County
YMCA in Pennsylvania; and served on the staff of the World Alliance
of the YMCA as Secretary for Refugees and Rehabilitation. He also
has been active with several social justice/ world relief campaigns.

Sheila
K. (Bullock) Mammosser
AU B.A. ’91
Athletic Hall of Fame - Volleyball, Basketball, Softball
Sheila was the first female student-athlete at AU to earn 12 varsity
letters. Named the Female Athlete of the Year in 1989, Sheila participated
in volleyball, basketball and softball. She was a four-year starter
for each athletic program. Today she is an award-winning high school
softball and volleyball coach at Rock Falls High School.

Robert
P. Gambardella

Athletic Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award - Volleyball
Bob has more than 26 years of experience managing, directing, instructing
and coordinating athletic programs. His sports-related career started
as Director of Physical Education at the Aurora YMCA and Volleyball
Coach at GWC. He currently serves as Director of National Olympic
Committee Solidarity and Protocol for the United States Olympic Committee.
