Distinguished Alumni Award:

Dr. Peter Cheo (AU) BS '51, Honorary Doctorate '87
Dr. Peter Cheo is President of PC Photonics Corporation, Chairman Emeritus of the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Connecticut, and retired executive with United Technologies Corporation.

Fred Lickerman (GWC) BS '51
Fred Lickerman is a former Executive Director of the Chicago Boys Clubs and the International Federation of Keystone Youth Organizations, and past member of the George Williams College Board of Trustees.

Reverend James Crouse (AU) BA '76
The Reverend James Crouse is President of the Advent Christian General Conference of America and Pastor of the New Life Community Advent Christian Church in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Marcia (Backiel) Barber (GWC) MS '76
Marcia Barber is Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Southwestern Pennsylvania and former director of the Outdoor Environmental Education Program on the Lake Geneva Campus.

   

Recent Alumni Award:

Lesly Wicks (AU) BSW '94, MSW'95
Lesly Wicks is Executive Director of Hope Haven, the DeKalb County homeless shelter for individuals and families, and a social worker for the Kishwaukee Community Hospital Emergency Department in DeKalb.

   

Spirit Award:

Richard R. Kearney (AU) BS'51
Richard Kearney is a retired partner of McGladrey & Pullen CPAs and has served on the Aurora University Board of Trustees since 1975.

   

Athletic Lifetime Achievement Award:

Coach Percy Snell (deceased)
The first coach at Aurora University and the pioneer leader of Intercollegiate Athletics at AU.  He coached the football, basketball and baseball teams for more than a decade.  AU's baseball field is named in his memory.

Dr. James Coleman (GWC) MS '75 (deceased)
Former USA Olympic Volleyball Coach and past General Manager of the USA National Volleyball Teams.  He recently traveled around the world as an instructor for the Federation of International Volleyball and organized the U.S. Women's Professional Volleyball League headquartered in Chicago.  Jim was inducted into the U.S. Volleyball Hall of Fame in 1992.
