Aurora University continues its commitment to students with the addition of a hand-crafted organ to Crimi Auditorium and a 25,000 foot addition to Alumni Hall for new nursing labs and social work classrooms.
The rich sounds of a pipe organ will enhance Crimi Auditorium as a place to gather, celebrate and reflect. The new pipe organ will feature:

- Pedal board with 32 keys
- Solid state adjustable combination stop action
- Free standing custom designed case of natural red oak
- 20 ranks of nearly 1,000 pipes from wood, tin and zinc
- Movable swell compression shutters
- Sound produced by air from a motorized organ blower
- The Crimi Auditorium pipe organ is an investment for the future with a lifespan of over 100 years and makes music for all ages
Within the Alumni Hall renovation there will be:
- Two science laboratories
- Nursing laboratory
- Computer classroom
- Dean's office suite
- School of Nursing suite
- School of Social Work suite
- Classroom or seminar room
- Nursing and Social Work faculty offices
To date, more than $6 million is in hand. We turn now to alumni and friends of AU and GWC to secure the remaining funds necessary to develop this important teaching and learning resource.
