Athletic Projects - Future Phases and Naming Opportunities

Aurora University long has been known for fielding outstanding NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic teams. Since 2000, Spartan teams have won a total of 34 conference championships and have advanced to NCAA post-season play on 21 occasions. The success of university teams is all the more noteworthy in light of the fact that campus athletic and recreational facilities lag behind those of competitors.
 
The purpose of this fundraising initiative is to close that gap as we provide our students and coaches with resources commensurate to their potential. We seek the support of alumni, parents and friends to develop this new stadium.
 
The subsequent phase of our athletic facility improvement plan calls for construction of a new lobby and entrance to Alumni Hall as well as an extensive renovation of existing spaces to provide enhanced coaching, administrative, conditioning and training resources for our student-athletics. A total of $3.5 million will be necessary for this phase of the project.
 
Finally, with an eye toward ensuring that our Spartan teams maintain their competitive prowess in the decades ahead, we invite our alumni, parents and friends to assist in the establishment of a $3 million athletic endowment. Earnings generated from this source will be used to supplement annual operating budgets and to help fund ongoing facility development and property acquisition initiatives.
