Athletic Projects

Aurora University is continuing its commitment to enhance athletic facilities by building a $3.7 million football and soccer stadium, near the location of the current field on the west side of the campus.
 
This project will include a state-of-the-art field turf surface, grandstand, and sports information center along with a nearby picnic area and adjacent parking lot. This facility will serve the needs of the Aurora University community for years to come.
 
The university launched the first phase of its effort several years ago with the renovation of Thornton Gymnasium and a series of infrastructure improvements in Alumni Hall. Recently, the institution announced its decision to partner with the City of Aurora leaders to develop a high quality Spartan baseball facility at Solfisburg Park.
