I grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois, near St. Louis, and completed my education here in the Midwest.  My first academic job after graduate school took me to Corpus Christi, Texas, where I remained for 11 years.  I returned to Illinois in July 2004, accepting a position here at Aurora University.  I love teaching, mentoring, and watching students graduate and succeed in life.
