Joe has worked at the Bartlett Police Department since 1990, and began teaching at Aurora University in 2005.  Joe has also been an instructor for NEMRT since 1998, and currently teaches the Juvenile Specialist Course, and the First Line Supervisor Course. In addition, Joe teaches Criminal Investigation for New Detectives and Report Writing at the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) - College of DuPage.  In 1999, Joe was selected as the Commander of Case Management for the Major Case Assistance Team (MCAT), a Cook County homicide task force-an assignment he held for six years. In 2011 Joe was promoted to Deputy Chief of Police.
