Ryan Klassy comes to Aurora University with 15 years of experience in professional communications including mobile marketing, copy writing and editing, corporate consulting, media relations, and reporting. His academic experience includes mentoring and teaching students at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, advising adult students at Kaplan University online, and tutoring high school students in a college prep program at Elgin Community College. Ryan is currently the Information Director at the Kane County Farm Bureau, where he communicates to the association’s members, the public and a number of internal audiences through print and electronic media. Since 2008, he has contributed regularly to the Elgin Courier News, writing about local government and rural issues. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He attended Lynn University for a master’s degree in business administration, specializing in communications and mass media management. Ryan is a member of the Northern Illinois Newspaper Association. He lives in Elgin with his wife Juanita and 3-year-old daughter Valentina.
