Department of Communication
As a practicing marketing communication professional, I share current communication theory and practice with students in the Professional Communication course. My diverse business communication expertise includes 20 years of experience managing marketing communication in the nonprofit sectors as well as for leading companies in publishing, printing, supply chain and transportation industries. I am currently the Executive Director of the American Association of Railroad Superintendents. In this role I lead the organization's integrated membership and marketing communication strategy, which includes event management, public relations, direct mail promotions, online and social media communication, and advertising. Over the last two years I have taught Oral Communication, Organizational Communication and Persuasion at Northern Illinois University.
