May Term 2014 — Spain with Dr. Eva Serrano

SPN3880-01 Spanish Study/Travel Experience
4 semester hours

Immerse yourself in 21st century Spain through language, culture, and exploration! Student learning of the historical and cultural components of Spain will come to life through visits to museums, historical monuments and assigned readings. We will start our journey with an introduction and welcome reception hosted by The Fundación Consejo España-EE.UU., and then begin our discovery of Madrid, Segovia, Cordoba, Toledo, Sevilla and Granada. This trip will be robust in activities, walking and learning! This excursion promises to complement previous learning and experiences with Latin American countries as well as provide new awareness of an Old World Empire, whose history is inextricably linked with the history of the Americas.

Students will be expected to be able to walk comfortably in large urban cities for several hours with occasional breaks/rest stops.
