I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky.  After earning my Ph.D., I taught at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, and University of Wisconsin-Barron County, before coming to Aurora University in 2007.  I am passionate about writing, and I split my teaching, research, and writing interests between creative writing and composition.  I am interested in how better bridges may be built between the two disciplines.
