Aurora Police Chief Greg Thomas is an alumnus from Aurora University. He has been employed with the Aurora Police Department since 1978 and chief since 2008. He has received numerous awards including the Kendall County Medal of Valor and the Exchange Club of Aurora Police Officer of the Year.
