Dr. Gudenas started doing research at Argonne National Laboratory designing computer-based systems for experiments in High Energy Physics. He moved to Argonne's Center for Environmental Studies and developed air quality models that allowed the State of Illinois to meet clean air standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency. He has presented his work concerning uncertain reasoning and object complexity to international audiences as far away as Japan. He is most noted for the development of the web site SciFair.org that helps millions of students with their science fair projects. Dr. Gudenas published one of the initial papers on introducing small robotics in the classroom. The Professor is currently working on fractal representation of high voltage arcs.
