I am a CPA who has been teaching for approximately 16 years, primarily at the University of Cincinnati and, for the past eight years at Aurora University.
After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, I received my M.B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati and spent six years in the audit division of a national CPA firm. Subsequently, I became Chief Financial Officer at three manufacturing companies in the Cincinnati area, over a span of 25 years.
My teaching philosophy is a combination of business applications and textbook theory. I encourage all of our business students to take my tax class (ACC3310), for they will get hands-on experience through our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) in preparing taxes for the Aurora community.
I enjoy all sports and I have been a volunteer basketball coach at the YMCA for eight years, working with second, third, and fourth graders.
I also am an active member on the AU Athletic Committee.
