grad-students-gwc2.jpgHow humans affect the environment and how the environment affects humans is something everyone should understand. If you want to increase your knowledge of the environment and learn new ways to develop scientific study in the classroom, you should consider the master's degree program in Teacher Leadership in Earth and Space Science Education at George Williams College. The program is designed for teachers who have an interest in earth and space science and the desire to teach others to appreciate science. The program is designed for PreK-12 teachers in all areas of education from English to music and does not require a background in science. Classes include field work, lab work, and classroom discussions.  Geneva Lake, Yerkes Observatory, and glacial and other landscapes in the area are used to provide hands-on experiences for teachers in the program. You will learn how to develop curriculum and assessment to go along with the subject matter you are learning, and research current topics in science and science education that apply to the classroom.  This program can lead to an endorsement in science.
