With over 25 years of programming and administrative experience working in a variety of settings from camps, parks, museums and the Peace Corps to various conservation and non-profit organizations, I like to bring stimulating ideas and perspectives into my classroom and take my students out into the field. I work to instill a sense of adventure, integrity and commitment to lifelong learning in my undergraduates and graduate students. Being a small school, we get to know our students very well. I encourage them to share their experiences so we can build on each person's strengths and interests. My courses involve active learning through a variety of hands-on and progressively challenging exercises. We have fun while learning to excel in our chosen professions!
