Graduate Assistantships — Master of Science in Recreation Administration
Full and partial year graduate assistantships are available through the Recreation Administration program at George Williams College. Through participation in a graduate assistantship, students gain valuable experience in program delivery and administrative leadership as they complete their program of study. Depending upon the position, students will receive a tuition stipend from the assistantship site.
In order to be eligible for one of these positions, students must have the appropriate professional qualifications to fulfill the duties of the position. Once a graduate assistantship application form is received, the G.A. Selection Committee will assess the skill set of the applicant, the interests of the candidate and consider that person for a graduate assistantship. Final placement at an assistantship site is decided by the assistantship agency following an interview, reference checks and background check.
Students must be accepted into the graduate program prior to being considered for a graduate assistantship. Graduate assistantships are competitive, thus it is best to apply early to the graduate program. Assistantships are awarded until they are all filled for each academic semester.
Most students engaged in a graduate assistantship also qualify for graduate financial aid. We will assist you in the financial aid application process as part of your academic application. Requests for graduate assistantship applications or questions about this program can be directed to:
