The Phillips Library provides library materials and services to support the academic programs and instructional needs of Aurora University. It houses a collection of more than 99,000 books and 7,000 multimedia materials, as well as 210 current periodical subscriptions. Electronic resources include an online catalog networked with 76 academic and research libraries in the state and more than 80 indexes and online databases. Through our electronic indexes and databases, books are also available from libraries across the nation and worldwide to currently enrolled students, and current faculty and staff.

Phillips Library is open 102 hours a week, seven days a week when classes are in session, and offers a variety of services to the campus community:

  • Circulation of books, multimedia materials and curriculum materials
  • Reference books and indexes
  • Instruction in the use of information resources and research assistance for individuals, small groups and classes
  • Interlibrary loan of books and periodical articles from other libraries through membership in a series of networks: CARLI, SILC, I-SHARE, OCLC, LIBRAS and the DuPage Library System
  • Audiovisual and instructional materials, listening and viewing facilities for course-related assignments
  • Small-group study areas
